FIVE STAR ENERGY RATING: Cincinnati-area home builder Homes by Gerbus has consistently performed at a very high level in qualifying their homes for the FIVE STAR + HERS Index Rating (Home Energy Rating System Index) as measured by an independent Energy Analysis Rater.
Homes by Gerbus submits every home that they build for the independent, third-party inspection required to earn the HERS Index rating. The home’s effective insulation, high-performance windows, tight construction and duct work, and high-efficient heating and cooling equipment qualified their homes as at least 50% more energy efficient on heating and cooling than required by the 2004 International Residential Code.
