Alan Gerbus Installed as 2019 HBA President
Custom builder Alan J. Gerbus has been named the 2019 president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati (HBA). Gerbus is the owner and operator of Homes by Gerbus. He was officially installed at a ceremony held on Dec. 14th at the Cincinnati Netherland Hilton Hotel.
Gerbus has a BA in business administration from the University of Cincinnati. Throughout 32 years in business, he has built over 150 homes and four new communities throughout Greater Cincinnati. His company participated in the 2016 HOMEARAMA®. He and his wife of 30 years, Mary, have four grown children.
His involvement with St. John the Baptist Catholic Church has been extensive, including serving on the parish council, as a member of the new church building committee and in a variety of fundraising efforts. He was also active in youth sports for 14 years, as a coach for both football and basketball.
Gerbus serves as a director for both the Ohio and National Association of Home Builders. He has also served as chairman of a national Builder 20 Group.
Other 2019 HBA officers include Brad Olinger, Sterling Homes, first vice president/treasurer; T.J. Ackermann, The Ackermann Group, second vice president/secretary; and Adam Cristo, Cristo Homes, chairman of the board.
